On paper, it may not seem like the most desirable option, but as you drive into the “town” center, you quickly realize its appeal and why so many people choose to live there. Arguably, Bang Saray’s most appealing feature is its stunning tree-lined beach with golden sands and clear waters. Unlike many of the other beaches in the area, it remains largely unspoiled with the beachfront bars and restaurants very much in keeping with the relaxed, hassle-free ambiance of the town. The beaches are clean with very few hawkers meaning that you can enjoy a relaxed family day out in a very safe environment.

There is little doubt that the town enjoys a very relaxed way of life which is much more in keeping with life in “real” Thailand as opposed to the tourist resorts. It still has a very Thai feel, although it has all the modern amenities that westerners need to be able to stay for the longer term. However, an increasing number of people prefer to be located away from the “action” in a more relaxed and sedate environment knowing that should they wish to go into the city; it is only a short drive away. In effect, it means that you get the best of both worlds, a serene home environment along with a cosmopolitan city on the doorstep, not to mention all the golf course and water sports which are also nearby.

The scenery around Bang Saray is noticeably different from that in the local area. It is surrounded by mountains which are lined with trees, giving it a more rural feel while the views over the local bays are equally as impressive. You do feel like you are in a different world, and it is hard to believe that the vibrant city of Pattaya is so close. While Pattaya has undoubtedly changed its image in recent years, there is still a certain element that makes it less appealing to families. Bang Saray, on the other hand, is perfect for families with the beaches, water parks, and other attractions in the area.
