As we explained last month, East Pattaya is home to an eclectic mix of restaurants covering all tastes, and it was simply impossible to cover everything in one article. In this, Part 2 of our look at the best restaurants we have seven more fabulous options to choose from. If your particular favourite is not on the list in either Part 1 or 2, then we would be delighted to hear all about it.
1. Suggestions Cosy Restaurant
The Suggestions Cosy Restaurant is located on Soi Nernplabwan and is an excellent quality Belgium restaurant that also extends its menu to include other European and Thai food. The atmosphere is friendly and welcoming, or as the name would suggest “cosy”. All the team are helpful and are happy to make suggestions with the specials board always being appealing and sometimes includes delights such as venison or crocodile.
2. Retox Outback Bar
The Retox Outback Bar can be found on Soi Siam Country Club, and although it is more of a pub, the food is nevertheless excellent. It is undoubtedly a fantastic option for anyone that has a healthy appetite as the portions are simply enormous! The menu is varied and includes European food and Thai food with food from the grill being particularly tasty. The prices are very reasonable, especially when you consider the quantity of food that you get.
3. Baan Na Garden
The Baan Na Garden is in Huay Yai and is close to the Wat Wai Yai Temple. It is a well-established restaurant with the original restaurant opening over 20 years ago, but they moved to their current location in 2016. It is predominantly a Thai restaurant and is one of the best examples of such in East Pattaya. The atmosphere is again relaxed and friendly.
4. Aroi Pub Resto
The Aroi Pub Resto is situated on Sukhumvit Soi 89 and is a modern restaurant serving a wide variety of food from Europe, Thailand and the rest of Asia. The quality of the food is simply excellent with the buffet, which is served from Wednesday until Sunday probably is what stands out the most. They have a superb wine list as well as stocking a wide selection of Belgium beers that always prove to be extremely popular.
5. The Loft Sports Bar Pub & Grill
The Loft Pub and Grill is located around Mabprachan Lake in the Pong area. It is a popular haunt for expats and is a very family orientated venue. As the name would suggest, the grill is one of the most appealing options on the menu, although the food is generally delicious. The Loft has a comprehensive menu and represents excellent value for money.
6. Taco House
Taco House is probably the best Mexican restaurant in East Pattaya and is located on Soi Pornprapamit. They again have a full menu with excellent staff on hand to make suggestions about what you may like. They use the finest, fresh ingredients, giving you an authentic taste of Mexico with American dishes also available.
7. Fisherman Café
The Fisherman Café is located around Mabprachan Lake and is a great place to sit and watch the world go by. They serve a range of Thai, Indian and Western food, and the place is always popular even with Thais living in the area. The restaurant represents excellent value for money, and the food is of the highest standard.
