Pattaya has some excellent hotels, but sometimes you may prefer something a little smaller and more personal. You can find some excellent guesthouses all across Pattaya, but some of the best are in Jomtien. They represent excellent value for money and some a right at the heart of the action, while others are located a little further away so you can enjoy some peace and quiet.
1. Stefan’s Guesthouse
Situated on Jomtien Soi 4, Stefan’s Guesthouse is located in a quiet area just 80 meters from the beach. The rooms are simple but clean, well maintained and include an in-room safe. It is undoubtedly a friendly guesthouse and has an onsite restaurant as well as parking for guests. They have a 24-hour reception for added security and convenience.
2. Jomtien Morning Star Guesthouse
Jomtien Morning Star Guesthouse is located close to Jomtien Soi 12 so it is in a relatively quiet spot in Jomtien. The room is of a good size, and the overall atmosphere is friendly and relaxed. Although the facilities are a little limited, a lounge and terrace area is available where you can sit and relax as well as get to know some of the other guests.
3. Tui’s Place Guesthouse
Tui’s Place Guesthouse is located in the Dongtan area of Jomtien and is very proud of the fact that they welcome families, singles, and anyone from the LBGTQ community – quite simply, everyone will be made to feel at home. Again this is a quiet location, and the rooms are all well furnished and spotless. Most rooms offer sea views, and the whole atmosphere is incredibly friendly.
4. Spa Guesthouse
Located on Soi Watboon Kanchana, Spa Guesthouse is well located for bars, restaurants, and shops and all of the rooms are spacious and come with a balcony where you can comfortably sit and relax. The guesthouse is very well maintained, and, as the name would suggest is also a spa with three treatment rooms available. They offer the usual spa treatments, along with being able to offer eyebrow tattoos.
5. Joy’s Paradise
Joy’s Paradise is a popular guesthouse that predominantly targets the German market. It can be found on Soi Welcome, not from Jomtien Beach Road and below is a popular bar and restaurant. Joy’s Paradise is a great option if you are looking to enjoy the nightlife while you are in the city. The rooms are all very good and represent excellent value for money. Families are advised to contact the guesthouse before booking.
6. Jomtien Seaside Guesthouse
Jomtien Seaside Guesthouse is ideal for those who are perhaps visiting Pattaya on a budget. The rooms are all sizeable and clean with a lift available for those who don’t want to take the spiral staircase. It is located just off Jomtien Beach Road between Sois 11 and 12 so it is ideal for the beach as well as local restaurants and bars.
7. Katty Bar and Guesthouse
Located on Jomtien Soi 4, this is a good standard guesthouse with clean rooms with some being larger than others. Below is a fun bar with plenty of ladies and ladyboys so it is perhaps not for the fainthearted. If you like to be where the action is, this is a great place to stay!
