Places to Get Mexican Food in Pattaya

Although Mexican food may not be one of the first types of food that we crave in Pattaya, it is always popular whenever it gets a mention. Those from the US particularly enjoy Mexican food, and this is reflected in some of the Mexican restaurants in Pattaya which have more of an American interpretation of the food rather than it being typically Mexican. There are several places that you can choose, but here are six of the most popular.

Central Pattaya

Tequila Reef Cantina

Tequila Reef Cantina is a long-established Mexican restaurant having previously been located on Soi 7 Pattaya Beach Road. However, from last month they moved to Welcome Town, just off Pattaya Klang, close to the Foodland. Just like their old location, the food is fantastic and well priced, and the new surroundings make a refreshing change. The portions are more substantial than many restaurants, and they have a good selection of drinks available along with the friendly staff.

Taco Taco Pattaya

Taco Taco is situated on Pattaya Klang, Soi 9 and is one of the most authentic Mexican restaurants in Pattaya. It isn’t as well known as it should be, although it is relatively small, so wouldn’t be able to accommodate everyone who wanted to go! The food is sensational; the service is great with the prices also being some of the cheapest available in terms of Mexican food.

South Pattaya

Pattaya Cantina

Pattaya Cantina is located on Soi Yensabai in South Pattaya. It is well known for offering great value, quality food. The restaurant certainly has a South American feel although the food is more Mexican presented in a Thai style. That being said, it is still terrific, and they have a broad range of drinks available as well as a pool table for after you have finished eating.

Mike’s Mexican Restaurant

Mike’s Mexican Restaurant is situated on Soi Thappraya Road and quite aptly describe themselves as being a Tex-Mex restaurant. The restaurant is one of the best known in Pattaya and is very well established. The food is excellent and always consistent, along with being very reasonably priced. They have a great selection of drinks, including the customary Corona Beer and Tequila! The team is all friendly and helpful with delivery also available via Door2Door.

Pratamnak

Chicha Restaurant

Located on Pratamnak Soi 5, Chicha Restaurant is one of the most recent on the scene but has so far had a big impact. They offer a wide range of Mexican food as well as some European and Thai dishes. The quality of the food is outstanding, and the restaurant has a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. The prices are very reasonable, and while the staff is friendly and helpful, they don’t speak much English, so it is advisable to point to what you want to be confident that you get what you want.

3Bz Burritoz

3Bz Burritoz can be found on Soi 6, Thepprasit Road and is a Mexican restaurant that is renowned for the quality of their burritos. It is a small but friendly restaurant, and the food is very good with the prices, especially during happy hours, being exceptional. The team is knowledgeable and helpful with delivery also available across Pattaya.
