Pattaya is well-known for having some excellent shows, most of which are cabarets or the more “adult” themed shows designed for tour groups at the larger venues in Naklua. However, many bars around the city also have shows of their own that are well choreographed and rehearsed. Here are some of the best-known shows in Pattaya.

Cabaret Shows

Tiffany’s

It is no exaggeration to say that Tiffany’s is world-famous and is a superb cabaret show performed by some beautiful ladyboys. The venue has been recently renovated, increasing its capacity as well as making a generally more appealing place. Although ladyboys may not spark much enthusiasm amongst many of you, the shows, if taken at face value, are excellent and family-friendly.

The theatre is on Pattaya 2nd Road, around 200 metres before Dolphin Roundabout and the shows last for just over an hour with various acts and routines taking place during the time. They have managed to amass numerous awards over the years, not only in Thailand but abroad as well.

Colosseum

The Colosseum is located on Thepprasit Road in Jomtien and is an awe-inspiring venue that not surprisingly, looks like the Colosseum in Rome. It opened in 2013, and the show comprises of 16 different routines and acts all performer by the skilled dancers who have undergone years of training. All performers must pass the audition with competition intense to get a role. Considerable sums of money have clearly been invested in ensuring that it can compete with Tiffany’s and is undoubtedly extremely popular.

Alcazar

Alcazar is the last of the ladyboy shows on our list and is perhaps unfortunate to be regarded as the poor relation of the other two. The shows are excellent but maybe not quite as good although they are incredibly well-choreographed and have skilled performers. Often the performers are those who were unlucky to be turned by Tiffany’s or Colosseum, so you can see that the standard remains exceptionally high. The show which can be found on Pattaya 2nd Road, opposite Soi 5, is split into 17 different segments and is again family-orientated.

Something Different

Kaan Show

The Kaan Show is something that is quite unique and is in the D-Luck Cinematic Theatre which can be found on Thepprasit Road. It is a fantastic blend of cinematic technology and live performance. The stories are based on Thai folklore and literature and give a modern take on traditional Thai culture. The genuinely memorable shows last in the around an hour and a quarter and will leave you with plenty of food for thought.

Bars With Popular Shows

Several bars in the city are renowned for their shows that are well-worked routines that take place on a regular basis. Some of the best are:

  • Moulin Rouge, WalkingStreet – Classic American variety show held every 4th Wednesday
  • Hooters Bar, Beach Road– rehearsed dance routines throughout the night
  • Lisa Coyote Bar, 2nd Road– the girls periodically perform choreographed dance routines
  • TJs Music Bar, Naklua– Ladyboy dance routines in a variety of different costumes
