One of the most popular locations with expats in Pattaya is the Naklua and Wongamat area. Situated slightly to the north of Pattaya itself, it is a quieter location but still within easy reach of downtown Pattaya. The area has superb restaurants and bars along with all the amenities that you would typically expect. Baht buses run 24-hours a day and taxis are plentiful. In the old town, you will find the famous seafood market. Here are some of the best low-rise condos in the area.
1. The Sanctuary
Located on Naklua Soi 12, The Sanctuary is an upmarket condominium in a quiet location. Many of the units offer stunning sea views along with views of The Sanctuary of Truth. There are quite a few good quality restaurants, and bars close by. Taxis are available in the area to take you around the city or to Naklua Road where you can catch baht buses.
2. Ananya (Naklua & Wongamat)
There are two Ananya Condos in the area, one at the northern end of Naklua, not far from the seafood market and one on Naklua Soi 16. A wide selection of units are available in both developments. Although the properties are now slightly older, the facilities are superb, and they have excellent management teams keeping the condos in first-class condition.
3. Nova Mirage
Nova Mirage is one of the older properties built by the respected local developer Nova Group. The apartment consists of three buildings. The communal facilities include two swimming pool, Jacuzzi and a small gym. Onsite there is also a laundry and massage. Taxis and motorbike taxis are available nearby along with Family Marts, restaurants and bars.
4. Laguna Heights
Laguna Heights is located on Naklua Soi 16 next door to Ananya Wongamat. It is an excellent condominium with a wide selection of units available. The communal facilities include a rooftop swimming pool that offers panoramic views across to Koh Larn. Taxis, shops, restaurants and bars are all close by.
5. Garden Cliff Condominium
The Garden Cliff Condominium is located at the far end of Naklua Soi 16 as is in a very quiet location. It is a slightly older property but excellently maintained. The units are all very spacious, and the communal facilities are excellent, including a swimming pool, gym and tennis court. The communal gardens are also a great place to sit in the swimming and watch the sunset.
6. Club Royal
Club Royal is situated on Naklua Soi 12, near to The Sanctuary. It is a quiet setting with a range of units available which all represent excellent value for money. Although not as upmarket as some of the other options on the list, this is still a quality complex with great communal features.
7. City Garden Tropicana
City Garden Tropicana is nestled away on Naklua Soi 16/1 so is in a tranquil location. It is a quality development and has a range of rooms available, all of which are a reasonable size. The communal facilities are first-class, and Naklua Road is only around a 5-minute walk away.
