Pattaya has always had a great selection of takeaway food options from some of the city’s best restaurants, especially for those who can remember Door2Door. However, after the most recent lockdown, more and more of us are now ordering takeaways, quite simply because their favorite restaurants have been closed! Many of the restaurants offer deliveries themselves, while others use delivery services such as Grab or Hungry Now.
In this article, we will look at some of the great options available, more than aware that there are many more that we could have added, so feel free to mention them in the comments below.
1.Retox Bars
It would be hard not to mention the plethora of Retox bars around the city that have been feeding ex-pats great food the last few years. Fortunately, despite the bar and restaurant closures, they have managed to keep supplying us with their great portions of western food! All of their bars are offering food that is currently available for takeaway or delivery.
2.The Loft Sports Pub & Grill
Located on the Pong side of Mabprachan Lake, The Loft is a well-established ex-pat favorite that has attracted families for several years. However, due to the pandemic, they have continued to enjoy significant success with their takeaway and delivery services. They have an extensive menu, offering Thai and western dishes as well as a children’s menu, which is ideal for families.
3.Bronx Pizza
We know that there are many options for takeaway pizza in Pattaya, but we have tried to stay away from chains and the better-known Italian restaurants, all of whom offer great pizzas! Bronx Pizza is on Soi Khao Talo and, as the name would suggest, specializes in New York-style pizzas. They have always offered an excellent delivery service, and now more people are becoming aware of it.
4.The Chinese Takeaway – By Pimmy
If you are searching for UK-style Chinese takeaway food, then it doesn’t come much better than what is available here! While it may not be authentic, and your average Chinese tourists may not be requesting a takeaway, it suits many others around the city and offers a choice of meal that is just a bit different. The prices are very reasonable, and the portions are large.
5.Alibaba
There are some excellent Indian restaurants in Pattaya, but as the longest-established and one that has been consistently excellent over the years, Alibaba makes our list. If you are missing their superb authentic Indian dishes, then you don’t need to worry as they are available for delivery or collection with the full menu available.
6.Fraser’s Sports Bar
For those in the Jomtien area, Fraser’s Sports Bar, another popular haunt for ex-pats, is offering their comprehensive menu available for takeaway or delivery. Like many restaurants across town, the pandemic has seriously affected their trade, so by placing an order, you will be doing your bit to help local businesses in their time of need.
7.The Sportsman
Another of the mainstays in Pattaya is The Sportsmen, located on Soi 13 Pattaya Beach Road. Regarded by many as offering the best Sunday lunch buffet in town, the team is doing everything that they can to feed the loyal customers by offering a takeaway and delivery service. So, if you want some good old-fashioned pub grub, you know where to come!
