For the last decade or so, Pattaya has been trying to establish itself as a family-friendly city that welcomes guests from around the world. Pattaya has always had some excellent hotels, including the Dusit Thani and Siam Bayshore, which has been around as long as Pattaya itself! However, there are several other outstanding options, some are also well established, but there are some new players on the block who are starting to get noticed. Here are six top resorts in Pattaya, but let us know if we have missed off your favourite!
1.Centara Grand Mirage
When you think of some of the top resorts, it is hard to look past the Centara Grand Mirage on Naklua Soi 18. The hotel is right on the beachfront and has some superb facilities and excellent restaurants. They have their own water sports available, and there are kids clubs allowing parents to sit and relax and the children make new friends. When you think of the word “resort”, the Centara Grand Mirage typifies this!
2.Intercontinental Pattaya Resort
Formerly the Sheraton Pattaya, the Intercontinental has been extensively refurbished in the last few years. It is located on the headland in Pratamnak and offers guests some peace and tranquillity along with stunning views. While it may not have quite the same facilities for children, it is the perfect getaway for adults and has excellent restaurants, beautiful gardens, and spacious rooms.
3.Royal Cliff Hotel
The Royal Cliff Hotel is one of the mainstays of Pattaya but is simply impossible to ignore when you are considering the best resorts in Pattaya. It is a hotel that has been and still is, used by the rich and famous along with royalty. The facilities, including the restaurants, are first class and you would find it difficult to criticise anything.
4.Mytt Beach Hotel
The Mytt Beach Hotel is one of the more recent additions to the Pattaya 5-star hotel market and is on Soi 3, Pattaya Beach Road. The modern and luxurious hotel has an infinity pool mid-way up the building, which offers outstanding views across Pattaya Bay. The spa, gym, and Dream Bar are all to a high standard, although it somewhat lacks activities for children.
5.Amari Pattaya
Just the name “Amari” tells you that this is a resort that will be excellent! All the Amari hotels are incredibly well run and have first-class facilities. The Amari in Pattaya has recently been renovated, with the older building demolished and a new tower put up in its place. It is located at the northern end of Pattaya Beach Road and has a superb Tree House Kids Club to keep the children entertained during their stay.
6.Rabbit Resort Pattaya
Although the Rabbit Resort is officially classed as a 4-star hotel, most people who have stopped there will put it up amongst the best. The hotel is directly on Dongtan Beach and is the perfect haven for adults. It has stunning gardens, excellent facilities and restaurants which wouldn’t be out of place anywhere in the world!
