Following on from our article last month, we will now take a closer look at some of the excellent low-rise condos in Wongamat and Naklua that have direct beachfront access. The area is popular amongst expats, many of whom are working in the area as well as international and domestic tourists. The beaches are considerably cleaner than in downtown Pattaya, and the region is relatively quiet. If you prefer low-rise living, here are six condos to consider.
1. Ananya – Naklua
Ananya Naklua is located at the far end of Naklua Old Town, near the famous Mum Aroy restaurant. The condo is just 5-storeys high, and although now it is slightly older, it is still excellently maintained. It is perhaps best known for its vast 250-metre pool that is just 30 metres from the beach. Although it is a little further out, getting into town is easy by baht bus, motorbike taxi, or your own transport.
2. Ananya – Wongamat
Ananya Wongamat is the sister condo of Ananya Naklua. It is a very similar design including having a large swimming pool, much of which overlooks the beach which is directly in front of the property. It is on Naklua Soi 16, close to several restaurants, Family Mart, and a Tesco Lotus. Although not on a baht bus route, motorbike taxis are plentiful. Almost all units have at least some sea view.
3. The Sanctuary
The Sanctuary is found at the end of Naklua Soi 12 and is a tranquil location, popular with expats. The small but immaculate beach in front of the condo is a great place to relax and runs up to the walls of the Sanctuary of Truth which is next door. The facilities in this condo are first-class with several unit types and sizes available to cater for different tastes. Close by you will find a selection of bars and restaurants and again motorbike taxis are plentiful.
4. Garden Cliff Condo
The Garden Cliff Condominium is located at the far end of Naklua Soi 16, almost on a headland meaning that it is a quiet location with largely unspoilt views. Access to the beach is at the front of the property, via the well-manicured gardens. The facilities are superb, and all units are larger than most in the area. Close by there is a Family Mart and motorbike taxis are available around 100 metres away from the condo.
5. Siam Penthouse 3
Siam Penthouse is more of a mid-rise condo and is slightly older than several others on our list. Again, it can be found on Naklua Soi 16 and has good facilities with most units offering sea views. It is well located for bars, shops, and restaurants with motorbike taxis available nearby. Many of the individual condos represent excellent value for money when you consider the prestigious location.
6. Modus
Modus is located next to the Sanctuary condo in Naklua Soi 12 and once again has direct access to the same beach. This is a condo and serviced apartment, so the facilities and management team are superb and reflect the levels of service available. It is a condo that is becoming increasingly popular with expats as previously it had attracted more short-term visitors.
