It is almost taken for granted that modern condos come complete with a swimming pool. However, most of these condos in North Pattaya and Wongamat don’t have a rooftop swimming pool which is a crying shame when you consider some of the stunning views that are available. Whilst, many of the condos in the area, have pools that offer great views, they can never replicate those available from a more elevated position.
1.Wongamat Tower
Without question, Naklua Soi 16 is the home of the condos with rooftop swimming pools. The Wongamat Tower is in a prime location offering stunning, unobstructed views of the bay and across to the islands. For this reason, we believe that they have the best rooftop pool; one which is surrounded by trees and has plenty of loungers with umbrellas to provide protection from the intense sun. The pool itself is a good size and can be comfortably used for both exercise and relaxation purposes.
2.Baan Plai Haad
Baan Plai Haad is again located on Naklua Soi 16 but is on the land side rather than the beachside of the soi. The pool offers some excellent views, particularly toward the Sanctuary of Truth. However, views across the bay are restricted somewhat by The Palm, which is situated almost directly opposite. Nevertheless, this is an excellent pool area and again has plenty of shade available for those who enjoy lazing around the pool.
3.The Riviera Wongamat
The Riviera Group always does things well, and the rooftop pool at their development on Naklua Soi 16 is again another example. Situated on the same side of the road as Baan Plai Hadd, The Riviera’s pool area offers residents some excellent views of the bay and beyond. Like the previous two options, shade is available primarily as it is on a rooftop midway up the building as opposed to being at the top.
4.Laguna Heights
Laguna Heights is the only low-rise property on our list but has many of the same attractions of Wongamat Tower as it is on the beachside of the Naklua Soi 16. The infinity pool is a reasonable size and ideal for those looking to relax and enjoy the magnificent views, although it may not be quite as attractive to serious swimmers. Plenty of shade is available, although as it is a low-rise property, you do feel that you are being overlooked by your neighbors which some people may find a little off-putting.
5.Pattaya Posh
Pattaya Posh is located on North Pattaya Road close to the bus station so is, therefore, some distance away from the beach. However, the rooftop swimming pool is excellent and ideal for fitness fanatics as well as those looking to leisurely sit around the pool. The sea can be seen in the distance, but it is the perfect vantage point for looking across East Pattaya and down towards Walking Street and the Bali Hai area.
